Director Emma Rice

Emma is the Artistic Director of Kneehigh Theatre and for them has directed productions including The Red Shoes, for which she won Best Director 2002 in the TMA Theatre Awards; The Wooden Frock (nominated for Best Touring Production 2004, TMA Theatre Awards); The Bacchae (winner of the TMA Best Touring Production 2005); Tristan and Yseult (nominated for Best Touring Production 2006, TMA Theatre Awards); Nights at the Circus (a Lyric Hammersmith and Bristol Old Vic production in association with Kneehigh), Cymbeline (in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company); Rapunzel (co-produced with BAC) and A Matter of Life and Death (A National Theatre Production in association with Kneehigh).

Her next project for Kneehigh will be a re-telling of Don Giovanni, Don John.
